healthetc pharmacy's carezones are designed to give you faster, more convenient access to a wide range of affordable basic healthcare and preventative care.In our healthetc pharmacy’s you’ll see an area called a carezone. Here, without making an appointment, you can get fast, convenient and inexpensive access to a wide range of basic healthcare and preventative health programs.
All healthetc pharmacy carezones are staffed by qualified nurse practitioners trained to diagnose and prescribe for all kinds of minor everyday ailments. Just the sort of thing you would see your GP for, only without having to make an appointment.
healthetc pharmacy's carezones offer two types of services – ‘Get Well’ and ‘Stay Well’.
Get WellGet Well services deal with existing health issues and include diagnosis of strep throat, colds and flu, sinus infection, ear aches and infections, pink eye and conjunctivitis, allergies and headache, to name a few.
Stay Well Stay Well services are aimed at preventative healthcare and include men’s health check 40+, diabetes fighting and screening, weight loss, quit smoking, get in shape, stress relief and physicals. All consultations are carried out by a qualified nurse practitioner.
What’s a Nurse Practitioner?
Nurse practitioners are registered nurses with advanced education and training in the diagnosis and management of common health conditions. They have the authority to prescribe medication and order diagnostic tests.Nurse practitioners are focused on disease prevention and can diagnose & prescribe for minor everyday ailments. Recently the Australian Government invested $2.1m in providing scholarships to help boost nurse practitioner numbers nationwide.
How much do consultations cost and can I get a rebate?
Our Get Well services are currently on offer to new customers at half price ($32.50 per consultation instead of $65.00).Our Stay Well services start at $29.00. We do blood pressure checks for free, or combined blood pressure/blood sugar tests for just $5.00.
Medicare rebates are not currently available for healthetc pharmacy's carezone services but we are covered by some private insurers.
